OPERATIONS

Tydstroom Poultry Farms form part of Pioneer Foods Agri Division and our Head Office is situated outside Durbanville in the Western Cape. We distribute fresh and frozen chicken products to the South African market, as well as Namibia and Angola, from our Durbanville, Atlantis, Hartebeespoort and Edenvale plants.

Bellevue Chix is our Sales and Technical Division which sells and distributes live parent-breeder and day old broiler stock to the Southern African markets.

Tydstroom does not sell chicken products direct to the public, but most of our products are available in stores at major retailers and wholesalers.

PRODUCTS AND BRANDS

Our current product range consists of Tydstroom Fresh Farm products (whole birds, braaipacks, portions and value-added products), Tydstroom Frozen products (whole birds, braaipacks, portions and IQF-range) and Golden Grove tertiary products (Necks, Gizzards, Livers, Hearts, Chunks, Soup Packs and Heads and Feet). Tydstroom is also a producer of major retailer/dealer-own-brand products in the Western and Eastern Cape.

CORE COMPETENCIES

Includes world-class farming operations and abattoirs that are annually audited according to the SAFSIS and HACCP guidelines. Supply chain logistics, distribution and merchandising is outsourced to technical expertise, whereby we can focus on our core competencies of farming, production, processing and sales of our products.
